I’ve spent much of the past 14 years working in the commercial art and design field. In that time, I’ve seen creativity and innovation succumb to the whims of sales and marketing. Dollars and egos dictate creative decisions for the most part now so this recent blog post really struck a chord. It’s a list of five sacred business rules whose time has, perhaps, come:
1: Failure is not an option
2: The customer is always right
3: Never be satisfied
4: Nice guys finish last
5: Grow or die
